A Legacy of Vision and Resilience

Prestige Motors was founded by Danny and Larry, two lifelong friends who saw an opportunity to bring something new to Cayman. With just ten cars and a vision, they introduced Hyundai to the islands — a brand that was then little-known but destined for greatness.

From displaying cars in a parking lot to establishing a full dealership on Eastern Avenue, Prestige Motors quickly became known for offering reliable, affordable cars with service that went beyond expectations.

When times were tough — from global slowdowns to local storms — our team adapted. The launch of Economy Car Rental in 1992 helped the business stay strong during economic uncertainty. Then in 1994, a single Hyundai Accent on the Auto Cross track changed everything, winning every race and propelling Hyundai to instant fame in Cayman.

That spirit of determination has defined us ever since — through Hurricane Ivan, through rebuilding, and through the steady growth that followed. What began as a small local venture has become a trusted automotive name built on integrity, hard work, and community support.
